Co-Presidents of Cheer
Shamiya Gould and Michele Colucci are the visionary co-presidents behind our competition cheerleading program, which they proudly established in 2021. Their mission was to provide cheerleaders with an experience that goes beyond traditional field cheer, focusing on skill development and personal growth. Beginning with outdoor practices at the field, they have successfully transitioned to local school gyms and are thrilled to now have their own dedicated cheer gym.
Shamiya and Michele are passionate advocates for inclusivity in cheerleading, believing that everyone should have the opportunity to participate, regardless of their financial background or any barriers they may face. They embrace each individual for who they are and value the unique contributions they bring to the organization.
With a wealth of experience, Shamiya and Michele have collectively won multiple national titles and have coached a level three team together for four years and now are going into their second season together coaching level four. Their nickname, “Shamlele,” perfectly encapsulates their strong partnership — you won’t find one without the other.
Shamiya has been coaching with the Warriors since 2012, earning numerous 1st place trophies along the way. As an active board member of the Delaware Spirit Association and a certified tumbling and cheer instructor, she is dedicated to teaching and mentoring both cheerleaders and coaches. In recognition of her outstanding contributions, Shamiya was honored as Delaware Cheer Coach of the Year in 2022.
Michele, who has been with the Warriors for six years, shares a deep passion for advocating for cheerleaders, empowering families, and nurturing the community. Her commitment to excellence was recognized when she was awarded Coach of the Year in 2023.
Together, Shamiya and Michele are a formidable force in the cheerleading world, dedicated to empowering young athletes and giving back to the community through this amazing sport.

Coach Ryan has been rocking with WCC since the day we opened our doors! As a proud cheer mom to Reagan and Kennedy, she pours the same love, loyalty, and dedication into every athlete. Coach Ryan knows how to encourage the girls, build their confidence, and pull out their very best, even when they don’t realize they have more to give. Yes, she may yell sometimes…but don’t worry, there’s a whole lot of love in that yell!

Coach Melinda has been rocking with WCC since 2021 and is the proud cheer mom of Rylee and Addison. She loves a routine that is clean, sharp, and put together, and trust us, she will spot a crooked motion from across the gym! Coach Melinda is encouraging, sweet, and supportive, but she does not take any mess. She is proof that you can be sweet and powerful at the same time!

Coach Isis has been part of the WCC family for five years and is back after taking last season off! With her high school cheer background, she brings a wealth of knowledge in skills, technique, and stunting. She is the calm voice in the gym and can vibe with just about anyone. You’ll often find her floating between teams, helping wherever she is needed. The athletes love her because she is patient, knowledgeable, and always willing to help them grow.

Coach Tia is as sweet as they come, but that little bass in her voice lets you know when it’s time to get serious! She has coached with WCC for three years, while her daughter, Angel, has cheered with us since 2022. Coach Tia truly loves coaching, making an impact, and helping cheerleaders become more confident. She also loves to dance and have a good time, so don’t be surprised if practice turns into a quick dance party!

Coach Emilee has been with WCC for three years and may be one of the nicest coaches you’ll ever meet—but don’t let the sweetness fool you, because she knows her stuff! With an All-Star cheer background and experience as a certified judge, she can help with tumbling, stunts, technique, and just about anything cheer related. You’ll often see her popping into other practices to help every team succeed. She is also the proud cheer mom of Khloe.

Coach Erika is entering her first year as a coach and her fifth year with the WCC organization. As an educator, she naturally knows how to lead, teach, and catch every little detail. She loves a team that is listening, focused, and ready to work. so if you’re talking when you shouldn’t be, just know she already noticed! Coach Erika is loyal, committed, incredibly helpful, and truly one of a kind. She is also the proud cheer mom of Charlie.

This may be Coach Akira’s first year coaching, but she has been part of the WCC family for three years! A former cheerleader herself, she brings her cheer knowledge, excitement, and positive energy into the gym. She loves being able to make an impact while sharing this experience with her daughter, Zoe. She’s new to the coaching title, but definitely not new to the cheer world!
